Introduction:

My name is Allison Bernard Jr. and I am 42 years old. My parents are Allison and Freda Bernard from the Eskasoni First Nation. I am the oldest of eight siblings in my family. I am married to Miranda Bernard, daughter of Leonard and Josephine Paul. We have three children: Ashton Bernard,18, living in Shawinigan, Quebec, playing in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. Arden, 9, living at home and our beloved son, Addison, in heaven.

I graduated from Riverview Rural High School in 1986 with an academic high school diploma. When I graduated I received two sport scholarships to attend UCCB or Mount Allison University. I went to the University College of Cape Breton to take my Bachelor of Arts Degree and was there for two years. During my stay at the University I received a job as a Police Officer and served 9 1/2 Years in policing. I was trained at the R.C.M.P Academy in Regina, Saskatchewan.

I am very greatful for the support that I have received when I was a Councilor. I believe that I have maintained a very good relationship with our community members and have not made any bad decisions that would have affected our community's delicate state, adversly.
